What have I been up to lately? Exciting stuff! I have been creating voter educational videos and graphic design for Maryland State Board of Elections. Check out some of the videos I created below. You can view more of them and new designs in my video and design galleries.

I’ve been doing some graphic design and photography lately, so thought I would add in a new section to include it.  A  Photography gallery will be coming soon.  Below I have added two new designs.

This is Christmas card that I created for the Anne Arundel County Board of Elections.   It is a combination of illustration and photography.

Below is a poster that I designed for a local production of the play, ‘Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years.’ 

I recently finished a few character designs for a local production of  The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a story written by Barbara Robinson.  I thought  I would include a few of the characters, whose designs were inspired by the actors and actresses in the play.

I thought I would post this new project I’m working with.  This illustration was recently done for ‘The Eye’ a fanzine of the role playing game, Eclipse Phase.  Designing a mechanical bird was an interesting challenge and immediately brought on fond memories of the mechanical owl in the movie:  Clash of the Titans. I had to think about the parts of the bird, how they would move, the range of movement and the final question of : “Could this thing possibly fly?”  I’m not so sure about my bird yet but I hope she can at least glide.

Though the bird has flat color, I hope to soon tackle a different coloring style that gives her a more 3D appearance.  But this is  where she is for now.

This is my favorite time of year.  It’s time to break out the mint hot chocolate and blankets along with some news of a current project.

Below you’ll see the logo design I completed for a local production of  “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”, a play by Barbara Robinson.  The current logo is being used for the play’s posters, fliers, and web advertising.  If you live in Maryland, this play will be a great Thanksgiving Holiday treat.  For more information, check the Schedule of Activities on November 26, 2011  at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts  by following the link below :

I thought some of my characters, especially those from my thesis needed a redesign.  So  I thought I’d try rendering a few of the gods in their fully human forms-to start. I’ve posted a few in the gallery. I’ve also put up some other new designs. More coming soon!

I did this character design for a friend and had a little fun. She described her character as an intellectual pixie with a dash of Julie Newmar in the role of “Miss Devlin” from an episode of the Twilight Zone.

I know I have been a little quiet. I’ve been doing some concept work for Planewalker.com. Planewalker.com is the official fan website for Planescape, a campaign setting of the Dungeons and Dragons role playing game. The really cool  folks over at Planewalker have continued developing the Planescape setting with the permission of Wizards of the Coast.

This was in illustration that i did for them using Photoshop. It illustrates a magical spell called Chains of Water and took about two and a half weeks to complete. I’ll be posting up more soon as when they’re finished.
